Read befor purchasing

They use UPS for delivery in my area, and every time I place an order, it arrives late. I’ve emailed Cheetah multiple times and never received a response. If you don’t mind waiting indefinitely for your order, keep buying from Cheetah. Personally, I want a reliable delivery service, so I’ll no longer be purchasing from a company with such poor customer service and delivery performance.

Disappointing old design

Super loud when lifting up and moving around. There should be rubber washers in between the joints that are riveted together. Supposedly the founders are wedding photographers. The stain is unusable in a large church where you need to be quiet as a photographer.

The legs do not extend. This is absolutely necessary for outdoor use and uneven ground.

Although these stands aren’t as sturdy as I would like, it definitely made the process of moving my light from place to place a lot smoother. I would buy it again!

Not what I hoped for

I was excited to find the C8 light stand because I thought it would be great for my outdoor photo sessions where I am walking between many locations. I do find that the auto collapse feature is nice, but the stand feels very light weight. If the ground was at all uneven, I had difficulty placing the stand due to the fact that the center piece between the legs sits flush with the ground. I don't feel confident using this stand on my photo shoots because I don't feel it is sturdy enough to withstand any uneven ground or wind.
